If I were an Igorot. This is how I would dress up:

I decided to be more "nationalistic" this Spring/Summer by wearing an authentic Ifugao Vest that I got from Baguio a few weeks ago and by pairing it with a Sagada Handwoven Backpack.

Some people may think I'm going crazy and might think I'm an Igurot but whatever. I think its cool and African-ish. Hahaha I think I saw a lot of African Influences on Designer's collection a few months ago. Like handwoven sweaters, beanies, bag and the like. Why not give it a try, right?

I know, its too early for Halloween. What can I do if my face is like that?

I haven't updated my Blog, Twitter, Lookbook and Chictopia account. The only thing I've been updating daily is my pet on Pet Society (Application on Facebook). I don't know why but I feel like there's nothing interesting happening with my life. Same routine. School-House-Homeworks/Plates-School-House-School-House-School-House. B-O-R-I-N-G.

I'm still going to enter this look on Chictopia10 although I'm no longer looking forward to winning the contest.

What on earth did I eat or drink to wear Crocs at a Bar?

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Crocs, I wear them at home (I use it as house slippers) but pairing it with Scooby-Doo socks at a Bar is just priceless and WRONG. This happened last December 30 at a hotel when we suddenly felt like drinking so we decided to go at the Mistraal (the Bar at the hotel). I feel so bad that I made my 14 year old sister drink Pina Colada, Screw Driver and a beer.

WELCOME TO PHILIPPINE FASHION WEEK!

It looks like I'm the only one who wore clean shoes that day.

Why is the runway broken?

Even the models wore dirty shoes?

What happened? I never thought that runways could be THAT dirty (and broken). Welcome to Philippine Fashion Week? Mind you, I love the collections specially Chris Diaz's Spring Summer 2010. This is my first time to attend fashion shows and I don't know if I'll miss another Sunday family gathering and not do my homeworks for this. I hope next year (if ever I'll be invited again), I want to see shoes that would fit the models perfectly, cleaner and elevated runways, and more chic and cool people than I-don't-know-where-they-came-from random people.

Ifugao inspired Bathroom. One word: Genius!

I like the ceiling so much

If Fashion Designers have Bryant Park and fashion shows, Interior Designers have Exhibits and studios. Most of them like the idea of bringing the outdoor in the interiors which I find interesting. I love how contemporary and Filipino everything looked. I think they (Advance Class 2009) did a good job but some of the rooms are missing something, I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. You just have to wait for my batch. Not that I'm bragging or anything but knowing my friends, the best is really yet to come!

KID AT HEART

Overwhelmed. That is probably the best word to describe my feeling when Chictopia made me a style icon. I have been a Chictopian for almost eight months now and my fellow Chictopians have been so friendly and kind to me. [For those of you who doesn't know, Chictopia is a fashion website where you can post a look (upload a photo) and other Chictopians will vote and comment on it.]

MOST FAVORITE - MALE

Hopeful. That is probably the best word to describe my feeling when Chictopians made my "Kid at heart" entry as the second most favorite photo for boys. I hope you guys make me number one!

Shocked. That is probably the best word to describe my feeling when breakfastatmoniques said that my pictures are fit to be in a magazine. I never thought that my pictures (taken by my 14 year old sister) would be magazine worthy for other people. Not that I hate my sister or anything.

Excited. That is probably the best word to describe my feeling right now. I'm excited at what tomorrow would bring. Well, we would just have to wait and see. I'm crossing my fingers that tomorrow will bring Beverly Hills and 5th Avenue. Hahaha!

Looking into the future

When I visit blogs (since I know and follow many bloggers), I always feel like something is missing. Have you seen a Fashion and Architecture inspired blog already? I haven't seen a blog that blogs about how Fashion inspires Interior Design and vice versa.

Staedtlerboy is not just about fashion shows, catwalks, models, photoshoots and the like. I want to show that Architecture, Interior Design and Fashion can go together in a new and different way. I can't wait to be the Scott Schuman a.k.a. TheSartorialist in the world of Architecture. I'll share photos of people AND places (skycrapers, residences and/or a simple furniture) that I'll see around the Philippines that I think looks great.

If Louis Sullivan is to FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION then Staedtlerboy is to ARCHITECTURE GOES WITH FASHION. Does it make any sense?

And who knows? You might find yourselves looking at the next Charles Le Brun and/or Eiffel Gustav. I can dream, right? Hahaha!
